You can now buy as many iPhones as you want

Afew days back it was reported that Apple had put a limit on people buying more than two iPhones from its online stores. The restriction was on for other devices, including the newly-launched iPad Pro as well. However, now it seems like the restriction has been lifted. A report by CultofMac suggests that these restrictions aren’t there any more. The report states tests by Cult of Mac done on Sunday “show that customers can buy as many 2020 iPad Pro, iPhone 11 Pro and 2020 Macbook Air units as they want. Dozens even.”
Although Apple hadn’t made any official comment on why the restrictions were in place, it has been suggested that its supply chain has been severely impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Even when the restrictions were in place, customers had the option to buy more than two iPhones in one order but they must of different models. For example, a customer could’ve bought two units of iPhone 11s and two units of iPhone 11 Pro Max in one order.
The online buying restriction was applicable on the following iPhone models: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Now it does appear on the Apple website that buyers can buy as many as they want.
