WhatsApp now has 1 billion daily active users globally

Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp said that it has one billion daily active users around the world who transfer over 55 billion messages every day. In an official statement, WhatsApp said that it has over 1.3 billion monthly active users.

WhatsApp, which has supports 60 languages globally, said that over 4.5 billion photos and 1 billion videos are shared around the world on its platform every day.

The platform introduced features like video call, Snapchat-like Status posts and two-step verification security that helped it attract more users since last year.
