Dixon Technologies strikes gold with major telecom deal with Nokia

Dixon Technologies and Nokia have inked a significant deal worth Rs 1,500 crore annually for the manufacture of telecom equipment, which includes fixed wireless access points and routers. The agreement signals Dixon’s entry into this sector, with manufacturing set to take place at its Noida facility. Final stages of product development are underway, with commercial production slated to commence between June and July this year. The company aims to produce 1.5–1.8 million units in the current financial year, with an initial production volume of 100,000–150,000 units monthly for fixed wireless devices and an additional 100,000–150,000 units monthly for indoor Wi-Fi 5 routers.

Moreover, Dixon’s joint venture with Bharti Enterprises, established under the PLI scheme for telecom and networking products, is scheduled to begin production in June 2024. These developments highlight Dixon’s strategic positioning in the telecom equipment manufacturing space, paving the way for significant growth and market expansion opportunities.
