WhatsApp may soon allow you to ‘search’ these messages on Google

In the current prevailing scenario when spreading misinformation is becoming a major concern, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will give its users some control to check the authenticity of the messages they receive.
As per a report by WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform has been found working on a feature that will enable users to search for messages on Google. This feature is said to be available for the frequently forwarded messages and users will be able to see a search icon in front of that message, as per the screenshot provided in the report.
Tapping on that icon will prompt a dialogue box that will read, “Would you like to search this on the web? This will upload the message to Google.”
