This WhatsApp-like feature may soon come to Instagram

Back in 2018, photo-sharing app Instagram introduced a feature called ‘Close Friends’ that allows users to share their Stories with only a limited group of friends and not all followers. Now, it seems the platform is working on another feature to give users more control on who they want to share their Stories.
As per a tweet by security researcher Jane Manchun Wong, Instagram is working on the ability to hide the Stories from specific people. She has even provided a screenshot that reveals how the feature may appear. Users will be able to search the people they want to hide their contacts from and simply select them to hide that particular Story from them.
With this feature, Instagram users will get an option to easily select the people with whom they don’t want to share their Stories. So far, there is no confirmation on the rollout of this feature.
