VNL’s 4G LTE telecom system to deploy high speed internet to rural India

Homebred internet provider VNL Limited has said that they have developed India’s first locally manufactured 4G LTE telecom system to fulfill the requirement for high speed connectivity, particularly in the rural areas.

The 4G/LTE equipment was launched by Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha in accordance with the BharatNet Project which envisions to connect over 100,000 villages with high speed internet.

The internet provider has also said that the 4G gear falls well under the ‘Make in India’ LTE products range, ensuring seamless connectivity at affordable prices.

“The 4G LTE systems offer compact and versatile radio applications and can operate flawlessly even in harsh environment. The solutions can operate solely on renewable energy,” said Rajiv Mehrotra, Founder, Chairman, VNL. “The offering includes portable solutions that allow them to support a wide range of scenarios, thereby giving admirable flexibility for quick and efficient radio installations.”

VNL claims that the system can also be used for emergency communication, communication needs of offshore oil fields, mines, and other institutional requirements.

The portfolio comes with access and core network elements for power efficient and optimized solutions required for mobile broadband services keeping in mind remote and rural deployments.

Previously, VNL has rolled out mobile telecom network, providing voice and data connectivity in the left-wing extremist effected areas.
