USOF Support

Telecom Commission on July 11, 2018 accorded in-principle approval for a scheme to support pilot projects towards utilization of BharatNet and provision of broadband services in rural areas. The scheme may be funded from USOF as enabling technological developments in the telecom sector already exists as per Rule 525(2)(vi) of ITRs 1951. This scheme is proposed to include the following:
