TRAI Act Amendments

Telecom Disputes Settlement And Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has opposed department of telecommunications (DoT)’s move to amend the preamble of the TRAI Act, which had sought to restrict its role to adjudication only. Presently, the preamble is common for TRAI as well as TDSAT, which includes protection of consumer interest too.
