Ease of Doing Business

On December 21, 2017, the Telecom Commission discussed, department of telecommunications (DoT)’s proposal to allow 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in the sector through automatic route. DoT has proposed 90 days for clearance by the home ministry on “core national security parameters ie unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country”. However, no final decision has been taken on this issue so far.
