SC rejects Ericsson’s contempt plea against SBI chairman
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected Swedish telecom company Ericsson’s bid to rope in chairman of SBI, which led the consortium of financial creditors in sale of RCom assets, in the contempt proceedings against three Anil D Ambani Group-controlled companies.
Ericsson’s senior advocate Dushyant Dave had alleged that SBI chairman too should be liable for contempt as sale of some assets of RCom has taken place but not a penny of the Rs 550 crore due to the Swedish company has been paid despite RCom’s undertaking that proceeds of asset sale would go to Ericsson.
