Is the sale of BSNL & MTNL imminent?

The vendors who have executed orders for the two ailing telecom PSUs – BSNL & MTNL – will not get paid. Capex freeze is near total. Only exceptions are the sundry debtors with an outstanding of upto Rs 1.50 lakh. The big vendors will receive no consideration, even MSMEs have been bolted out. Technology upgradation and expansions, even routine ones have been grounded. For a tech company, these developments are as good as a death sentence. And this is precisely what is being worked out with alacrity by the BSNL and MTNL management.
