CSC E-Gov Scam

On June 27, 2019 the USO Fund issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) to CSC E-Governance Services India Ltd (CSC EGov) for Rs 1,903 crore for O&M of BharatNet infrastructure in 1.25 lakh villages and installation of 2 WiFi Access Points (APs) in 90,000 Gram Panchayats. Out of this, Rs 1,440 crore is for procurement of Aps.

A DoT note reveals that the contract has been issued on nomination basis on the ground that the company is an SPV under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
