Instagram extends Live video time limit to 4 hours
Instagram is adding new features to its Live feature, the company announced through a tweet. The company announced that it is going to offer 3 new features to Live functionality.
Firstly, users will be able to go live on Instagram for up to 4 hours. This limit till now has been set at one hour.
Next, the app will allow creators to save their Live videos for 30 days before they delete. Till now, users had the option to save their Live videos by publishing to IGTV. Instagram offers its users the option to archive their Feed posts or their Stories and will offer the option to archive their Live videos the same way.
Lastly, in order to expand the reach of these Live videos, Instagram will start showing a “Live Now” section in the IGTV app and on Explore.
These features are expected to be rolled out on both Android and iOS to all Instagram users globally.
