e-Health rollout

The government has released a draft of health data management policy that aims to accelerate the rollout of e-health services through creation of IDs for individuals / patients, practitioners, data collectors, etc, and allows digital medical prescription and sharing of health records.

By creating digital health records and maintaining registries for healthcare professionals and health facilities, the government wants to ensure a smooth interoperable framework for the multiple partners associated with healthcare delivery to individuals in India.
