Chinese Apps ban count at 224

The government has banned 118 more Chinese applications like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (known as PUBG) and other gaming apps like Rise of Kingdoms and Zakzak, Baidu and WeChat. With the fresh ban, the number of Chinese apps banned in India now stands at 224. The government said it had received complaints that Indian users’ personal data had been stolen.

This was the government’s third round of bans. On June 29, India banned 59 Chinese apps amid tension on the border with China. TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser, Helo, Likee, Mi Community, Virus Cleaner, Beauty Plus, WeChat, UC News, Weibo, Xender, Bigo
