Defer digital competition law, think tanks, others tell Govt

A group of 21 organisations and a few individuals have written to the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) asking it to extend the deadline to provide inputs on the draft Digital Competition Bill, 2024. In a letter, the stakeholders, including Broadband India Forum, CUTS International, CCAOI, Internet Freedom Foundation, have raised a series of arguments in favour of extending the deadline by five months to October 15.

On April 10, the last date to submit the comments on the proposed legislation was extended by a month to May 15.
