Call Drop

On September 4, 2015 Trai came out with a consultation paper on “Compensation to the Consumers in the Event of Dropped Calls.” For the first time ever Trai’s consultation paper is aimed at addressing the concerns of the consumers while holding the telecom operators responsible for providing poor quality of services. It is good that Trai under its new chairman Ram Sewak Sharma (took over on July 27, 2015) has woken up to the realities and has noticed consumers’ sufferings at the hands of the operators.
