On 08.04.2016, the DoT has submitted its response to the UK based lawyers Baker & Mckenzie LLP on the notice dated 12.10.2015 given to the government of India by Sistema JFSC. It has alleged that its telecom business in India has been undermined and hampered by the discriminatory, arbitrary and unfair actions taken by the government of India as it has breached it obligation provided under the India Russia Federation bilateral investment promotion (BIPA) treaty.
