Bharti remains very viable, Vodafone Idea may have to shut down biz: Anand Tandon

It seems that Idea is sticking to their stand saying that they do not have any money beyond this and whatever they earned they have exhausted in operational costs as well as AGR dues, etc. Seems like this is going to be a bit of stretch.

Well I do not think they have the flexibility to do anything more. Frankly, if they do not have the cash, they do not have the cash and the best that the court can do if they really want to go ahead down that road is to actually shut them down. If they insist on payment as the management has stressed, they may actually have to shut down the business. I do not think it is in anybody’s interest to shut it down.
