Warner Music India’s three music channels go live on Jio TV

Music label Warner Music India has launched Hindi, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri music channels – Desi Music Station, Punjabi Melodies, and Bhojpuri Junction – on Jio TV, which is India’s largest streaming platform with 900+ channels in 16+ languages spanning 12 genres.

The partnership with Jio TV will help Warner Music India to further amplify its reach in the country with the streaming platforms’ extensive user base in tier II and tier III cities.

The association allows Jio TV subscribers access to Warner Music India’s library of 70+ hours of music by some of the most renowned musicians like Armaan Mallik, Aastha Gill, Badshah, and Diljit Dosanjh across genres.

Warner Music India has been fortifying its presence across Hindi and non-Hindi music spaces.

Recently, the music label signed a deal to acquire a majority stake in Divo, a leading digital media and music company in India with a presence across all four South Indian language music markets.

Last year, it made inroads in the Gujarati and Marathi music industries through the films ‘Lakiro’ and ‘Ved’. Prior to this, it also launched an in-house regional folk music label ‘Maati’.

The music label also inked strategic partnerships with Sky Digital and Global Music Junction for Punjabi and Bhojpuri music respectively.
