Nokia inks new 5G mmWave deal with US Cellular

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia and U.S. Cellular said they have entered into an agreement to jointly work together in adding 5G mmWave capabilities in the 24GHz and 28GHz spectrum bands.
U.S. Cellular, in a joint statement, said it will deploy Nokia’s AirScale products portfolio, with Cloud RAN capabilities in efforts to provide enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) 5G mmWave. The deployments will further include the Nokia AirFrame open edge solution for Cloud RAN.
