U.S. Pompeo says China 5G does not put NATO alliance at risk

The use of Chinese 5G technology is not something that puts the NATO alliance at risk, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a video interview on daily La Stampa website.

Pompeo also said he was not worried that the alliance between the U.S. and Italy could be “broken” by any Chinese 5G threat.

Separately, Pompeo said he hoped the Italian government would decide to discontinue flights to Italy by Iran’s Mahan Air.
