Price-fixing by Ola, Uber

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has rejected allegations of price fixing against app-based taxi service providers Ola and Uber, saying that drivers acceding to “algorithmically determined prices” by the platforms does not amount to collusion between them. Rejects BSNL’s complaint against Indus Towers

Competition Commission of India (CCI) rejected BSNL’s complaint alleging that Indus Tower is using its dominant position by denying access to the telecom towers in its Kolkata circle. Trai in its recommendations to the department of telecommunications (DoT) has advised the government to auction the spectrum at regular intervals. It has stated, “to keep pace with the increasing demand of data services, it is essential that spectrum is auctioned at regular intervals.”
