Price-fixing by Ola, Uber

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has rejected allegations of price fixing against app-based taxi service providers Ola and Uber, saying that drivers acceding to “algorithmically determined prices” by the platforms does not amount to collusion between them. In its order, CCI also dismissed complaints that Ola and Uber are imposing a resale price maintenance

Rejects BSNL’s complaint against Indus Towers

Competition Commission of India (CCI) rejected BSNL’s complaint alleging that Indus Tower is using its dominant position by denying access to the telecom towers in its Kolkata circle. In its complaint, BSNL had asked CCI to investigate the abusive conduct of Indus and impose penalty for violating the provisions of Section 4 (2) (a) (ii)

India Mobile Congress

Regular Spectrum Auctions

Trai in its recommendations to the department of telecommunications (DoT) has advised the government to auction the spectrum at regular intervals. It has stated, “to keep pace with the increasing demand of data services, it is essential that spectrum is auctioned at regular intervals.”
