Digital Markets Act

The European Commission (EU), for the first time, has labelled six companies – Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ByteDance, Meta and Microsoft – as gatekeepers under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). In total, 22 core platform services provided by these gatekeepers have been designated. The companies now have to ensure full compliance with the DMA obligations for each of their designated core platform services within six months.
