ZTE says open to product testing by Indian govt to allay security concerns; to ramp up hiring

NEW DELHI: Chinese telecom gear maker ZTE said that it is open to evaluation and testing of its products and solutions by any global authority, including the Indian government to allay cybersecurity-related concerns.

The vendor said it will now ramp up investments and hiring to support the growth in India which has become it’s top priority outside China.

“We welcome third party or independent to validate our solutions. We also welcome any authority including the Indian government to check ZTE products and solutions. Hopefully, it eliminates those concerns and accusations of the Chinese companies like ZTE,” Xiao Ming, President ZTE Global Sales, told ET in an exclusive interview.
