Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal joins Unacademy board

Mumbai: Deepinder Goyal, who as cofounder and chief executive led Zomato NSE 1.95 % Ltd. to a successful listing in July, has joined the board of Unacademy, the founder of the edtech startup said.

Goyal is an existing investor in Unacademy and participated in its Series H round in August.

“Deepinder has been an advisor for several years and it was only a matter of time before that association transformed into a formal partnership,” Gaurav Munjal said. “His experience with building and scaling a successful consumer technology company will help us tremendously as we build the country’s largest learning platform.”
