YouTube testing timed comments so you know which part of the video people are talking about

YouTube is testing a new feature that lets you view comments timed to the exact moment you’re watching a video. YouTube is testing it on Android and iOS for select videos and with a small group of users. This is the latest feature that’s part of the “YouTube test features and experiments” program.

This feature will let you add comments and link them to a specific section of the video. It will make it easier for users to find out which precise moment commenters are talking about. Users who are part of this experiment will see a new feature called “Timed Beta” under the Sort button in the comments section. Tapping on this will give users the option to add timestamps to their comments.
