You may not have wait for 5G iPhones, here’s why
Apple tipster and former KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a new research note, according to a report by MacRumors. Calling it a follow-up research note, MacRumors said that Kuo has reaffirmed his earlier claim that Apple plans to launch both sub-6GHz and sub-6GHz-plus-mmWave iPhone models in the latter half of 2020. He says that the shipments of all the iPhone models will start in the beginning of the late third quarter or early fourth quarter.
As per the report, Kuo has revealed that both the sub-6GHz and mmWave support iPhone models are under development as per schedule.
This research note comes days after Susquehanna analyst Mehdi Hosseini claimed that Apple may withhold the launch of mmWave models till December 2020 or January 2021. As per him, the 5G iPhone lineup could arrive in two batches where the company is first expected to unveil sub-6GHz models in September and later on launch the mmWave in December or January.
