Xiaomi will offer 5G handsets at ‘honest pricing’, says its India chief
Demand for smartphones is expected to jump with the rollout of 5G networks, with as much as 38% of the total user base is projected to own one by the end of the year. In this context, ET’s Subhrojit Mallick caught up with the newly appointed president of Xiaomi India, Muralikrishnan B, to know about the smartphone maker’s plans around the 5G rollout near the end of the year. India has just completed the 5G auctions. What does it mean for smartphone makers like Xiaomi?
