Xiaomi uses an Apple ad to promote its new feature

It was only a couple of days ago when Xiaomi unveiled its 3D avatars called Mimoji which look very similar to Apple’s Memoji. The company, however, refuted the resemblance and denied that the feature was ‘copied’ or ‘inspired’ by the US based company.
Now, ads for Apple’s Memoji and Apple Music have been spotted on product page of Xiaomi Mi CC9 smartphone. First seen by a Weibo user (via CX Live), Apple advertisements were embedded on the handset’s page on Chinese major e-commerce sites — JD.com and Suning. Apple Music ad featuring an AR version of musical artist Khalid was embedded above the Mimoji name on both these websites.
