Xiaomi sells 2 lakh units of Redmi K20 with hours of launch
New Delhi: Within hours of launch in China, Xiaomi’s new handset Redmi K20 Pro sold 2 lakh units, a poster by Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo reads.
Redmi K20 Pro was one of the most awaited phones of this year and it was launched at 2,499 Yuan ( ₹25,200 approximately) in China. The smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset went on sale for the first time on 2 June and in less than a couple of hours, it had sold 2 lakh units.
This is Redmi’s first flagship device. Earlier in a post, the general manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing had mentioned that the product will have “stronger performance, longer battery life, better camera, higher screen ratio, worth waiting for…”
