Xiaomi Redmi 9 with 5000mAh battery launched at a starting price of Rs 8,999

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Thursday added Redmi 9 to its portfolio of affordable Redmi smartphone series.

The latest Redmi 9 features a 6.35-inch IPS HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and comes with TUV Rhineland Low Blue Light certification.

In terms of cameras, at the rear, it comes with an AI dual-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary lens with a 2MP depth sensor with flash whereas at the front, the Redmi 9 comes with a 5MP camera. The camera hardware is assisted by software features like palm shutter, document scanners, among others.
