Xiaomi may bring world’s first TV with 48MP dual cameras in China

It seems like the camera war is slowly going to move on from the smartphone market to the smart TV market. Chinese consumer technology brand Xiaomi has been among the brands that tries to win at the specs war on each front, and cameras in smart TVs could be its next goal.

According to a report by GizmoChina, Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship Mi TV 6 — that the company will soon launch in its home country — will sport 48MP dual cameras. If this happens, this will make the Xiaomi Mi TV 6 world’s first TV to do so.

The report includes what appears to be a poster showing the popup selfie camera. Needless to say, this camera should assist in video calls — personal or work — or interactive games or for guidance for fitness regimes.
