Xiaomi extends the list of phones out of MIUI upgrade

New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi had extended its list of phones which will no longer get the new MIUI upgrade.

Earlier, the company had confirmed on its forum that starting 4 April the Redmi team will stop offering software updates for seven phones. The list of phones included Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi Pro, Redmi 4 Prime, Redmi 4 Global, Redmi 4A, Redmi Note 4 (MTK version) and Redmi Note 3. The smartphone maker has further extended the number of phones now. Recently launched Redmi Pro, Redmi 6 and 6A may also be out of the list.

Missing on the upcoming MIUI 11 upgrade or any Global Beta update in the future means that users of these smartphones will not get the feature that removes advertisements from Xiaomi smartphones.
