Worldwide tablet PC market grows by 26% in Q2 2020, led by Apple: Report

NEW DELHI: The worldwide tablet PC market registered shipments of 37.5 million units in Q2 2020 and recorded a growth rate of 26% YoY, said a new report by market research firm Canalys.

The tablet PC market was led by Apple (38%), Samsung (18.7%), and Huawei (12.7%), respectively, followed by Amazon, Lenovo, and other vendors.

The Cupertino based giant Apple secured the first position in the market primarily due to its iPad shipments, which grew by 20% YoY to reach 14 million units, meanwhile, Samsung maintained second-place with 7 million, registering a growth of 40% YoY.
