With this WhatsApp feature, audio messages sent will be playable only once

WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature that will allow users to send an audio message that the receiver would be able to play only once. This is according to WhatsApp news tracker WABetaInfo, which further said the update would increase the privacy and security of communication through the Meta-owned platform.

WABetaInfo shared a screenshot explaining how the feature would work:

As seen in the screenshot above, a person will have to press the ‘Audio’ button to use this option. As per WABetaInfo, however, such audio messages would not be saved, forwarded, or recorded, and this would be for additional privacy.
