Wipro to roll out salary hikes, likely percentage and more

Wipro is rolling out hikes in the October-December quarter. The company has promised the same during its earnings call in July. Wipro gave salary hikes in September last year. “We did our last salary increase in September of last year, and we plan to do that for this year sometime in quarter three,” Chief Financial Officer Jatin Dalal had said in the company’s call with analysts, adding that the impact was not being factored in for the second quarter. Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte told TOI then that in almost every industry, businesses have been reducing discretionary spends in response to the weaker macro environment. Incidentally, Dalal has been appointed as the next Chief Financial Officer of Cognizant, the company said on September 28. He resigned from Wipro recently and his last day at the company is November 30.

At the Q1FY24 press conference, Wipro informed that the salary increase would be announced in the third quarter of the financial year. We will not comment on rumours and speculation,” the company told TOI.
