Wipro sends some Capco employees on ‘garden leave’

Bengaluru: Wipro’s subsidiary Capco India has sent employees on garden leave with a 2-3 month pay out, sources told TOI.

The company is calling it “garden leave”, which is a transition period where employees don’t go to work — having resigned or having their employment terminated. TOI has seen some of the emails sent to employees on garden leave.

Employees were asked to submit timesheets and complete exit formalities before they exit the firm. Employees, on condition of anonymity, said some of them had to tender their resignations since they couldn’t find a role in other projects within Capco India.
