Wipro appoints AWS’ Douglas Silva as country head for Brazil

Bengaluru: Wipro Ltd. has appointed IT industry veteran Douglas Silva as country head for Brazil, signalling its intent to build on its Latin American business.

Silva joins the Indian IT company from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was the head of financial services industry in Latin America and enterprise sales director for Brazil. He has previously held senior positions at SAP AG, Capgemini AG and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS).

He will be based at Alphaville in Barueri, Brazil, and report to Mukund Seetharaman, managing director at Wipro Latin America.
