Will JioBharat 4G phone’s winning streak continue?

NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio’s 4G feature phone ‘JioBharat’, launched in July last year at Rs 999, boosted the feature phone segment volumes, especially in the latter half of 2023, according to analysts and market trackers. They, however, said that the impact of this affordable handset is unlikely to be sustained beyond a short-term period as a considerable base of users still exists which prefers basic functionalities instead of 4G connectivity.
