Will bring India back on growth track, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told India industry that economic revival was a priority and the country would be put back on the growth track as lockdowns are eased.

Strengthening the economy against the coronavirus pandemic is a key mission, he said at the 125th annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

“Economic growth is our priority. Several decisions have been taken that will have short-term as well as long-term benefits for India’s growth trajectory,” he said, referring to the government’s ₹20 lakh crore stimulus package.

He said five things were essential for rapid growth – intent, inclusion, investment, infrastructure and innovation.
