Why waste a crisis? Re-imagining India’s electronics industry
The COVID-19 pandemic is set to become a watershed moment for global supply chains centered on China, especially in industries like electronics and pharmaceuticals. Due to their trade war with China, American companies had already begun the process of reorienting their supply chains before Covid-19 struck.
Disruptions to supply chain caused by the pandemic has now led governments of major manufacturing and technological powerhouses, like Japan and South Korea, to offer incentives to their companies to move manufacturing out of China.
