Why users of this smartphone need to worry about WhatsApp ending support

Popular messaging app — WhatsApp will reportedly stop working on some Android phones and iPhones starting next week. WhatsApp is ending support for some of the old smartphone models starting October 24, 2023.

According to multiple online reports, the list of outdated smartphones include 18 phones from Samsung, LG and others. “Starting October 24, 2023, only Android OS version 5.0 and newer will be supported,” mentioned WhatsApp on its support page.

“To keep up with the latest advances in technology, we routinely stop supporting older operating systems to point our resources to supporting the latest ones.
