Why TikTok’s back-in-office crackdown is leaving employees ‘frustrated’

Tech giants, including Google, Amazon and Apple are making it mandatory for employees to return to offices, and follow a hybrid work model. TikTok is one of these companies and it fired warning shots earlier this year saying employees who fail to move will face potential disciplinary action. The company has reportedly gone a step ahead in making sure that employees are coming to office.

As per a report by The New York Times, the company this week introduced a tool for tracking office attendance. It also threatened employees of disciplinary action if they fail to comply with new in-person mandates.
