Why Apple CEO Tim Cook is “very happy” with India

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple announced its quarterly results earlier today and the company’s CEO Tim Cook has said that it has “bounced back” in India. During the earnings call to the investors, Cook when speaking about India said that, “India bounced back during the quarter, we returned to growth there. We’re very happy with that.”
Apple CFO Luca Maestri also shed some light on how the company is doing in India. Maestri said that in emerging markets – including India – Apple had posted double-digit growth in the previous quarter. Overall, it still remains behind the likes of OnePlus and Samsung when it comes to premium smartphones market in India.
