Whatsapp will now let users send photos in HD, video support coming soon

WhatsApp had been testing a feature to send HD photos on Android and iPhones. The company rolled out the feature for beta testing for WhatsApp for iOS and WhatsApp for Android in June, and now it is coming for the masses.

“Sharing photos on WhatsApp just got an upgrade — now you can send in HD,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on Facebook and Instagram Channels.

HD Photos is rolling out globally over the next few weeks and WhatsApp said that the HD Videos option is also coming soon.
