WhatsApp to get a new feature and you don’t need to open the app for it

WhatsApp is reportedly launching a new feature for the iOS app which will allow you to listen to audio messages from the notification panel itself without opening the app. According to WABetaInfo, the Twitter account that tracks the changes and upcoming features in the Facebook-owned platform, this feature might be available for both Android and iOS users, however, iPhone users will get it first.
While there is no timeline yet as to when this feature will get rolled out this will make it easy for you to listen to audio messages. WhatsApp is also rolling out a shortcut for editing images that will allow users to make the changes in an image they have received on WhatsApp before sending it to other contacts.
Called the ‘Quick Edit Media Shortcut’, this feature is said to save time of the user and the storage of their smartphones in case they want to send an image on WhatsApp by tapping on the edit.
