WhatsApp on iOS now supports sharing photos, videos in original quality

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature on iOS that allows users to share photos and videos in their original quality as a document. This feature was initially tested with a small group of users in November and is now rolling out to all iOS users with the 23.24.73 update.

According to WaBetaInfo, the changelog mentions that users can easily send original quality media as a file, providing an alternative to the default compressed approaches used by the app.

WhatsApp has been testing a similar feature for Android users since at least September, hinting that a stable release for Android devices may be on the horizon.
