WhatsApp new update: 155 re-designed emojis, Dark Mode renamed to Night Mode

WhatsApp’s new Android beta update has brought some interesting changes. As many as 155 redesigned emojis can be found within the app, according to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp’s newest features, and has hints of Night Mode as well.

The Android beta update version 2.19.139 will also bring back the Dark Mode, after it disappeared for a bit. It is now called Night Mode. According to the tracker, feature is still not enabled in the beta version, meaning it appears in the code, but not within the app settings.

The Night Mode currently works for Chats List, Calls, and Status. WABetaInfo says the action buttons are still in green, but WhatsApp would change it to White once the mode is finally available. The tipster says that the exact timeline for the availability is not known yet.
