WB police names Instagram as co-accused in FIR under POCSO Act

Police in West Bengal have filed a case against Instagram for allegedly hosting indecent content featuring children.

The cyber police station of Dakshin Dinajpur district has in a first information report (FIR) filed on April 11 named Instagram as a co-accused in an offence under Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 67 (B) of the Information Technology (IT) Act of 2000.
